The Department of Health and Hospital Management, College of Business (COB)- Rabigh, Female Section, organized a visit to King Faisal Hospital, Jeddah for the students on Dec 3, 2012.
The Vice Dean Dr. Wedaad Al Nooraldeen, provided constant motivation for making this visit a success. The visit would not have been made possible without the support of the Dean Dr. Abdalelah Saaty.
The hospital visit was organised by the efforts of Dr Rumaiya Sajjad Syed, Head of Department, and Ms Abeer, Lecturer, Department of Health and Hospital Management, COB, Rabigh.
The organizers at the King Faisal Hospital, Jeddah, provided firsthand knowledge to the students about the organisational structure and mode of operation in the different departments of the esteem hospital.
They also explained policy implementation as well as about the infrastructure and services offered by various departments of the hospital.
The purpose of the visit was to give an insight to the students about the healthcare sector with a special focus on quality accreditation, medical records and patient services administration.
The visit was informative, interesting and successful as the whole exercise provided a unique opportunity to the students, to gain an insight of the working environment related to a subject area. The visit also helped the students develop confidence, motivation, and team learning.
